Craftbecho is a creative community of artisans who are working to keep the traditional arts and crafts alive. We believe that modernisation and technology should be used to enhance our traditions, art, craft and utility. Our vision is to “give wings to your ideas” and make the world a more colourful and unique place.

We are committed to creating an ecosystem of artisans where they can thrive and continue to produce beautiful work. We offer a range of products and services that support these artisans and make it possible for you to connect with them directly. With Craftbecho, you can bring the beauty of traditional art and craft into your home or workplace.

Tell us about yourself?

I am Founder and CTO. Being aMilitary Wife, life takes to all places be it remote to metro. One difficulty every house maker is dealt with is to think of a theme for decor, that is unique and also adds a personality of themselves.

Indian Arts and Crafts are renowned throughout the world. Be it a Hollwood setup, a bollywood movie or a simple household, you can find handmade everywhere. But as we have growm to buying things online for ease and comforts, the actual relics and artworks have been lost with time.

We wish to empower the passion of Local Indian Artisans via enablig them with tech and supporting them in every way we can. Also said , this project will be benifical for NGOs, Military wives and small business owners as the platform gives them a sense of being a entreprenuer. We dont just trade in Art we make feelings.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

The only advice i would be giving to myslef is that the fear of taking a step will always be there. So younger me should know that be it bad or good. That fear is to be overcomed at the earliest.

What problem does your business solve?

We are CraftBecho. We are a tech-enabled social enterprise that is working to empower Indian artisans and help preserve India’s rich cultural heritage.

We do this by creating an ecosystem of artisans where modernisation and technology enhances our traditions, art, craft and utility. Our vision is “Giving Wings To Your Ideas” and we are making it possible by creating products that are unique, colourful and bring a touch of personality to your world.

We believe that the future is in the hands of artisan communities and with the support of people like you, we can revive India’s lost art heritage and make it part of your everyday life.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I am an Art Enthusist but work and life have refrained me from pursuing the passion. Lucky are those who are along with us in the community and are Creators for us. If i can add tech to their ArtLife, i believe that we can build a workolace that is colourfull as the rainbow.

The main problem for social media sellers or small business is that though they have a fanstastic creation, the issue of trust as money is involved for making a sale. In India, this is the prime problem where the trust between a seller and a buyer exists and due to that many Artisans are loosing their jobs and are finding it dificult to survive for two meals a day.

Pandemic of Covid has taken a toll on their life. We wish to empower them with our tech platform, which is absolutely comission free for Creators, Military wives and NGO’s. Growing together is what we aim and we are on the path to take steps one at a time.

What is your magic sauce?

All the markeplaces are filled with ways to generate profit. We are building an Artisan Community which works together and grows together.

Trust and transparency is the key value and sharing our learning to help who is in need is the core value of our team. We have a Creative community of 100 plus Artisans with over 1000 products sold. We have not paid a single penny for marketing or anything.

We build the patform from scratch and in three months of running this, we believe that a community that grows together is bound to succeed, as its hard work involved from everyone not because we demand but because they believe in the Mission.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

In the next five years we aim to make Craftbecho a household name and rebring the lost cultures and traditions of Artworks and Crafts to every place in the country. Team CraftBecho hails from Uttarakhand.

Uttrakhand also known as Dev-Bhoomi(Abode of Gods) is filled with amazing cultures and traditions. We all moved in pace with the modernisation, however we left those cultures and traditions to be limited to local region or many have become extinct.

To buy or view these Art and Craft items we all had to travel all the way to the local Mela (Uttraini-A Traditional Uttrakhand Local Fair)where we were always mesmerised in the colourful world. Same stories of traditions, art, craft and culture are all across India and we as Team CraftBecho are on a mission to support the amazing handmade with love works and supporting as many Artisans we can along our Journey.

We are one stop store for all the handmade trendy, artistic, crafty and unique utility range and we deliver your unique Piece of Joy direct from the Artist to you with a ton of love and smiles along with it.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

The biggest challenge we have faced so far is overcoming our fear of thinking can we do it. And with the support and progress we see, now we are happy to accept any challenge. We might not suceed everyday but yes, the learning value is immence and we are always reaady to get up and fight again.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

The best strategy is word of mouth for us. And we certainely believe that once we can achieve even one person who believes in us, that opens us to 100 more.

We build a relation with creators and they brought on more creators. We made a relation with the customer and their satisfaction brought us more of them. Thats how we operate. We welcome anyone who feels in the same way.
